- Find a comfortable place in room where there are several people. Lie down on the couch or lounge in a chair.
- Pretend like you are asleep.
- Occasionally lift your head up a little bit and scan the room through squinted eyes.
- Pay attention to everything that is going on while pretending like you can't hear a thing.
- After you have surveyed the room through your squint, close your eyes again and pretend to go back to sleep.
I do this all of the time, and I have learned some pretty interesting things about the people with whom I live - unbeknownst to them, of course! Did you know that my roommate's girlfriend put my favorite chair out on the street for garbage? She honestly didn't think that I would find out. (Because when she was reporting this to my roommate, I was squinting)!
I'll have my revenge. Just when she least expects it . . . . !
